don't get me started on the war on drugs. it is surely a no-brainer that if drugs were freely available from licensed premises including pharmacies and NHS clinics then the majority of crime would disappear overnight, and the money saved (in the police, insurance compensation and A&E) would more than pay for counselling and supervision of the drug users. who knows, it might even discourage those who get hooked in the first place, and those who seek harder and harder drugs to satisfy their sad urges. IMHO there must be some seriously influential gentlemen at the top of the drug trade who wish to perpetuate the trade at all costs. gang violence, knife crime, murders, petty burglaries - sorted! Obviously you remove one element of criminality and social problem. But you exacerbate them at the other end - drug fuelled violence, healthcare costs, folk on the dole because they are too off their faces to work. Yes we get all these problems with alcohol, but that is no reason to deliberately increase the problem by adding new causes. I don't accept that legalising drugs increases their use - quite the opposite in fact because anyone who starts on drugs is immediately under the care of the NHS system and will receive counselling and whatever other measures they will apply to cure/discourage the user. as long as drugs are controlled by criminals there will be no counselling, care or treatment unless the user seeks it, and he will have to be in crisis before that happens. the annual value of the illegal drugs sold in the UK is about £5billion; the cost to society of the associated crimes and health treatment is about double that, about £400 per household. it should also be borne in mind that drugs in the UK tend to be very impure, whilst any drugs supplied legally would be pure, hugely reducing the health implications.

I also see from today's news that the poor little Lamb missed out on a Nobel peace prize. Quite which idiot(s) nominated her in the first place gawd knows. Wow. I see she was, I wonder how she helped achieve peace? Perhaps The Church will make her a saint and some randy old priest will be up her frock like a spider up a drainpipe.

I'd respectfully suggest; while dear Greta may well be young she's reached the age of consent; said priest would prefer a child; I'm sure.

It seems the authorities are coming around to supplying drugs to addicts www.itv.com/news/2019-10-10/drug-addict-make-history-become-first-receive-publicly-funded-heroin-middlesborough-heroin-assisted-treatment/?fbclid=IwAR28EYfF4-f3iY58JXKYaXmW3w58aXaAnjUXn-R-syXIg9wC5bgkyrjIUws

It will be interesting to see the long term outcome.

Don't think anybody has posted this...... I'm wondering what's going on with you. A self deprecating avatar and one or two posts linking mildly humorous stuff. Have you quit Yorkshire?

Don't think anybody has posted this...... Because we're not that childish? Thanks for wasting 2 minutes of my life. I thought something funny might happen at the end, you know, like with the pirates in the Sponge Bob movie.

Don't think anybody has posted this...... Because we're not that childish? Thanks for wasting 2 minutes of my life. I thought something funny might happen at the end, you know, like with the pirates in the Sponge Bob movie. Considering the lengthy copy and paste tripe you regularly post on here combined with the infantile 'dildo' comments you posted in this thread that comment is frankly pathetic. Fortunately I've long since realised if I see a post from you that consists of more than a couple of sentences its not even worth reading so I just skip over them, no time wasted.
