That's odd I didn't see that on the warnings page today. Sorry to be misleading earlier. I was a bit surprised if the Kennet wasn't in flood.

What has punching got to do with anything ? ...well....... are you going to tell us? He was meaning that it's easy to say sorry when you have done something wicked, not really meaning it. He was using that as an example (which wasn't using Rog as the role model, in his example the woman was punching the man). Simple really. So simple even a simple clown understood it.

glug glug splash splash bubble bubble Flood Alert Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are high and responsive to further rainfall on the River Kennet. Therefore, flooding of low-lying land, footpaths and roads is expected to continue close to the river, especially in the Knighton area. We are expecting persistent and at times heavy rainfall to continue this morning (20/12/19), followed by heavy showers from this afternoon through to Saturday morning (21/12/19). We therefore expect river levels to rise further over the coming days and into the early part of next week. We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are in the area clearing weed/trash screens. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and refer to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. This message will be updated this evening, 20/12/19, or as the situation changes. This information last updated 7:45am, Friday 20th December. We have been advised by the marina NOT to leave the marina at all before Christmas, and unlikely to be able to do so for some days after Christmas. Looks serious. Looks like our cruising will be up and down the marina a few times to get the engine hot enough just so's I can change the oil.If you don't go anywhere why change the oil? It's only a short bike ride for Greta to visit you at home, to give you a good slapping,

Back to 39 voters now (reached 41 at it's peak). Foxy once again a clear leader having been overtaken by magnetman at one point. Are we to assume that more than ten people were constantly switching their vote 'for effect' ? I don't think more than 41 votes were ever registered, so perhaps the idea of external influences or sock puppets doesn't really work. Anyway, things appear to have settled once again Rog

Perhaps, with such a clear lead, there was a possibility that naughtyfox would get ideas above his bus station. That would be insufferable.

It seems like quite a few people on here like to imagine "crimes" to pin to those they don't like then go on the attack, usually accusing others of their OWN worst traits. Not you Rog. Must be cabin fever.

Just curiosity for my part ... honest. It seems that when I 'pinned my colours to the mast' inviting everyone to vote, as an indication of active member numbers ... the opposite affect happened and disruptive shenanigans began ... whether to disrupt me or the competition I have no idea. I voted once for the 'coal boats' and never changed. I know Telemachus has described accidentally changing his vote ... but that wouldn't account for the number changes or the huge swing in votes. It doesn't really matter as it's just a bit of fun ... but it's that very pointlessness that makes it more intriguing Rog

As for some members trying to control who what and how often others post... laughable.

I think either Mi6 or ‘The Russians’ are responsible!

The Russians are extreme left wing socialists ... suggests they may not be bright enough I think the MI6 suggestion has caused enough consternation. At one point foxy was on 14 and MM overtook him ... now they're down to 11 and 5 respectively which is a considerable redistribution. Rog

It wasn't MI6. Evangeline is (fortunately) still talking to me and has confirmed this with the head office in Aylesbury.
