Got my licence renewal details yesterday through the post, they have included the actual licences this time, is this something everyone is getting, or am I a special boater?
They also over charged me by 62p.

Min's gone up from £752.69 last year to £794.50 this year, a rather inflation busting increase of 5.6%.

My licence has doubled since 2009. Parry has a nice new top of the range mercedes every three years. He's out looking for his next one now.

The discount has changed from a early payment discount of 5% to now be early payment of 2.5% and online payment discount of 2.5%.
The online licensing system is excellent and Is a much better way of doing it. I appreciate the issue of printing if you don’t have a printer though, but even without a printer I would still do it online and then try and request a paper licence, or get it printed by a friend, or print shop, they only charge pennies.

How hard is it for the office girls at CRT Headquarters to print the licences and post them? Seeing as the price of the licences has shot up by very handsome amounts, why are they saving on paper and printing ink and envelopes and postage? If Richard Parry is squandering licence payers' money and government funds on swanning around in new Mercedes cars, and those who are funding this extravagant lifestyle don't like it, where are the protests?

As Stabby has pointed out, if all those lock-fulls of water came through your kitchen tap you'd be paying a lot more in domestic water rates! The CRT licence is a veritable bargain.

It is pretty amazing that you can have access to around 2000 miles of inland waterways year round (subject to stoppages) including free moorings for less than £20 a week.
That's definitely not a bad deal.

I realise English is no longer your first language, so I'll forgive you. I was complaining about the loss of paper licences (which we are REQUIRED to display) not the price of the licence alone. Having said that my licence fee has doubled in the last fifteen years, with no obvious increase in service provision. But that's a different discussion. Rog

Foxy - have you attended any protests? Have you written to Mr Parry to show your displeasure? Have you attended any CRT meetings?
