It is pretty amazing that you can have access to around 2000 miles of inland waterways year round (subject to stoppages) including free moorings for less than £20 a week. That's definitely not a bad deal. Yes, and much of it is falling apart due to our funds being wasted for many years.

Stop moaning. As Stabby has pointed out, if all those lock-fulls of water came through your kitchen tap you'd be paying a lot more in domestic water rates! The CRT licence is a veritable bargain. I was complaining about the loss of paper licences (which we are REQUIRED to display) Ways and means, Dear Boy, ways and means.

My licence went down from last year, of course that's due to them charging me too much last year, in fact they could have been charging me too much for the last four years as I have never checked the meter to feet conversion, always assumed they knew what they were doing, daft now I know.

Foxy - have you attended any protests? Have you written to Mr Parry to show your displeasure? Have you attended any CRT meetings? Nah, he just spends his time balancing wobbly on his rickety soap box, shouting nonsense.

That's definitely not a bad deal. But not when you have access to less than half of that but are going to be charged 25% more for having less. I think when narrow boats come onto the big Northern canals they should be charged 25% extra because they take up more length of mooring for the same tonnage boat

That's definitely not a bad deal. I disagree. Numerous canalside businesses only survive because of the money spent by gongoozlers, who come to see boats, not water. CRT should be paying us. After all, Lewis Hamilton doesn't have to pay to drive around Silverstone.

I realise English is no longer your first language. I don't remember any change. I must have been asleep.

Do you think anyone is the least bit interested in my opinions and what I have to say? Can you imagine licence-paying boaters glueing their palms to the glass doors in CRT headquarters?
