Lovely day today, moored at waverton, lovely stretch this part of the shropie, apart from the 500 boats moored on the offside with each boater staring at you in case you dared to go above tickover..
Passed the youtuber Robbie Cummings and said hello, he was covering the towpath with his crap out the boat, doesn’t show that on his vids!
Stopped to have my poo took away in Tattenhall marina and managed to not make a balls up of the wind to get on the pontoon.
Spotted some moorings with spaces on the middlewich branch and have spoke about leaving the boat there next month, not a bad price and a good base for us to explore new canals and areas this year and next.
Day of rain tomorrow so trying to decide if we push on and head for Ellesmere or not.. decisions.
Anyway, time to jump in car and drive home for the night and come back tomorrow am

Just be careful on the Middlewich branch,I've read a few comments about theft/vandalism there recently on Farcebook. We normally moor just up from Maureen's lock & have been fine.

My home city where I grew up.It felt really strange doing the Northgate locks by boat as I used to cross over them on the way to my posh school. It also felt a bl***y long way down at the bottom of these locks whilst P was up above with the vollies. PS Did you spot 'The Bridge of Sighs' ?

Anyway, time to jump in car and drive home for the night and come back tomorrow am Met him at Church Minshull lock in March while we were under lockdown and he was on his way to Ellesmere Port for the Easter Gathering - did he get there? He had to do something important inside his boat as I single handed up, then he let the next single hander down "help" him up - to be fair, although he never got off his boat, he did "offer" much, extremely pleasant man ... Got the impression he was on a mission but he didn't have time to divert to the shops he asked me about as he needed to get to a railway station to get home to his girlfriend. You can't believe everything you read in the papers! (sorry, don't utube/twatter/blob - so i'm probably missing something here).
Keep safe, well and sane x

Yes, lovely x What's the issue - we just asked DID you make time to see the Bridge of Sighs? Your decision - you boat, I boat... been there, done that all by myself - took a little longer - my life/your choice x Have fun x I can still remember meeting you when you were utterly clueless after just buying your ex Viking hireboat - think you were nicer to me then? x
