As a member of the banned from CWDF club, would anyone like to spill the beans on how to get rid of the banned message and sneak back onto the forum under a new name? Please.
I left a few friends behind who I would like to contact again, would I be a sock puppet or just a trouble maker?
My banning was deserved but even murderers get reprieved, not so on CWDF as the forum admin won't even allow any contact to plead my case.
Can't even get on as a guest, the banned banner always comes up. Tried dumping cookies and password to no avail.
Whilst I am incarcerated bored out of my skull out here east of the modern world I will have plenty of time to try it out. VPN to the rescue.

If you left friends behind and have no other way to contact them I can understand the wish to be a sock puppet. I was banned for life .... they had to invent a new rule and then retroactively ban me for breaking it (Fomenting dissent) straight out of the KGB handbook anyway most of the people I cared about on there migrated here or had already been thrown out and were already here. Apart from feeling aggrieved that I couldn't access content that I had contributed to, it was no real loss. Now I refuse to visit under any circumstances (although I was informed third hand that if I went and grovelled I could be reprieved ...... I'd rather crawl over broken glass)

Oh... I thought from the thread title the Bulgarians had chucked you out for moaning about their country. Try another computer to read CWDF, like in a library. Or a mobile phone? I was banned from Daniel's Fiefdom but can still read it as a guest. Anyone around the world can. I think that the secret is to rid yourself of all and any link to your old persona, and as Foxy said use a device that had a different IP address and when you sign up make a new profile etc etc. If it is any help I'm happy to act as a go between to pass on PMs as I have done for John in the past though given that we do get lots of visits from CWDF members it would be wise to conduct yourself via PMs to maintain anonymity Phil

I've re-joined CWDF several times since being banned for all eternity, . . not that I really wanted anything to do with the place, but it was a very good way of annoying the sniveling little wanker who owns the site. Each time I signed up it was via a new e-mail address under an assumed name. Most of them were rumbled almost immediately after I started posting - can't imagine why - but two of them survived for a surprisingly long time. It took them quite a while to twig on to keen stamp collector Phil Atterley, but the one that lasted longest, and God only knows how or why, was a foreign gentleman by the name of Don Corleone, . . who even gave his location as Lake Tahoe !

Dad enjoyed helping folk on that forum but got wound up by the pathetic trolls and I stupidly got him banned. Seems I will have to use another computer, I dare not use the 'firm's', its too closely monitored, Boris would object. I assume that it is not possible to alter the IP of a computer? I can rename but that does nothing. How does their forum know who it is and which computer? I have removed all cookies and passwords/user names but it still throws the banned screen instantly and I cannot get away from it. Need a nerd please.

If there's someone in particular you wish to contact, you could just start a thread here with that persons name in it.
It appears a hell of a lot of them visit and 'lurk'.
Can't help with the technology sorry.

The device that you use has a unique ID hard-coded into it that cannot be changed. Borrow someone else's laptop. Use a vpn. Can the forum read that code then?

Its possible. This is how (in part) the likes of Google and Microsoft track phones, tablets and laptops etc. However, given that TD in the past just made up a new login strongly suggests admin security was basic. The fact that you can't simply do that now suggests things have changed, as does the fact that you are in fact currently out of the country (and not merely using a VPN to mask your location). So go to a mates house and use his / her internet on their machine. Or buy a new phone. Read up about proxies if you have a taste for the technical (that's how the hackers do things). www.pdfdrive.com/hacking-for-dummies-3rd-edition-d8142411.html

If you are using chrome go to history and clear ALL browsing data, that should rid you of the banned banner.

Using Firefox as a different browser to the usual Chrome informs me that I am suspended..... till February 2021. NB Lola has a grudge agin' me.
Same result, clearing cookies and history does nothing,
As the forum is loading the computer is uploading data to "ajax" whatever that is. Not sure if that is relevant.

Ajax appears to be some crapola security suite that was likely pre-installed on your device. Go to Control Panel / Programs to see if it is listed and therefore installed locally.

Dad enjoyed helping folk on that forum but got wound up by the pathetic trolls and I stupidly got him banned. You say I live in a different world. And you got your dad banned from an Intermet discussion forum??!! By the way, where is he? I haven't seen SamSam lately. I thought he must be back from the Philippines by now. Still sunning himself, quarantined on a remote beach with a bar and a good restaurant till the end of March, no CV19 anywhere near. He won't be back on the forum after the last spate of unpleasantness. Seeked? Finglish?
