As we have no control of current events, I thought it may be pleasant to focus on simple good news ... as and when we're fortunate to have some. Jane suddenly remembered our car (sat in the garage at home) needed to be taxed this month. I warned her that the entire staff of DVLA would be busy, fully committed to processing Mr Stabby 's licence, but she insisted on phoning and within a couple of minutes and for £30 the car was taxed for 12 months. Not such good news you may say ... but the last car used to cost £120 Rog

This is what I do with my Rover, the tax being a rather outrageous £330 per annum. Luckily, although I still have to tax the Honda. the road tax is free as it is registered with DVLA as a Historic Vehicle.

But then we can't use it ... and we don't know when the need to pop home and use it may arise. Besides ... £30 Rog

Is this a typo? I wondered if it was meant to have a y and an e in it. And an al.

I have nearly finished the annual maintenance on my glider, despite the never ending strong winds and rain making it difficult to get 4 x wings and the fuselage out of the trailer and into the hangar for inspection one at a time (limited space due to the hangar being full of other aircraft). Really looking forward to getting some decent flying weather so I can put a few 1000’ between me and Coronavirus hysteria.
