Sorry but in my book , like Trina, helping someone in trouble comes as a natural thing, risk and cost are not things that should come into your head in an emergency. Totally agree. However I find it interesting to consider whether this whole Coronavirus nonsense has changed people's attitudes and tipped some into the "better not get near it might be too dangerous" and whether this will be a long term thing or if people will go back to normal after a while.

I didn't know Phil was 74 - he seemed much younger to us when we met him 2 years ago. Well, I suppose he was only 72 then. I like Phil, don't worry, only joshing. I was rather hoping he hasn't snuffed it by the time we get out his way so we can let him drive our boat a bit. I didn't get the mark on Rog's conk - it's almost as if someone has thrown one of them Chinese stars at him. Windlasses have rounded ends. I'm not buying his story. Why thank you Ross, I shall do my best to survive long enough to have a rematch in 2 years and oh I can spot a bit of joshing when I see it Phil

I dunno, guess it depends on how the virus progresses, will we get an effective vaccine? I think I would just wade in and help as its something I've always done.... It was drummed into us to ask if someone wanted help because of the litigation aspect, but if unconscious obviously you make your own choices. There will be folk who will walk away, there always is.

Helping people can get you into trouble you never expected though JohnV I think the world's a better place for having that helpful attitude ... but no doubt we'll be written off as 'virtue signallers'. Rog

Rog But in your case Rog we all know the virtue signalling, is to cover your more nefarious activities.
