We've had large pork chops from a butcher in Kinver(delish'),home made mustard & apple stuffing bites, local new potatoes, local carrots & tinned peas.Sorry about the tinned peas but P wanted peas.Afters was a lemon doughnut for me & piece of carrot cake for P from a Kinver bakery. Both yummy-as is the crusty, seeded bread from there.

Add a bit more tomatoe and or green pepper and also a bit of cornflour if you like your sauce thicker. Nice and simple and doesn;t require you to have lots of fresh ingredients.
On the list to sort tomorrow.

Having had a hard day at the office helming Dulcinea followed by a short trek in the red herring I am going to have some high class pasta and high class mackerel from a quality tin.
Then bed. Next beer shop is in Lechlade which should be around midday tomorrow so I won't lose sleep. I have a no surplus alcohol on board policy so there is none left.
The top of the thames is a bit boring but I actually really like the remoteness of it. There really is hardly anyone about. Proper quiet.

Dining on the firm tonight. There will be 5 of us, brainstorming session after.
So its fillet steak, mushrooms, selection of green vegetables, Onion rings and thrice cooked chips, after the garlic breads, followed by very sticky pudding and custard. A good South African red wine, possibly Capel Court. Tomats, (Victory) cocktails to follow so I have a clear palate for talking.
Being in HMG's employ does have some small advantages.

I'd have thought at your age you would be taking it easy in July and August !
