Hang on Ill check label.... Nope... Pheasant Gully...Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon..S E Australia Gd'day sport...or whatever they say I remember a lad at my school who used to say that to everyone he saw after he watched Crocodile Dundee. I thought initially it was for a giggle but he sort of got a bit "locked in" with doing it and it became slightly bizarre. He was one of the other people who took the train to school like I did. So we had a 18 minute walk from school to train in the afternoon and he just kept on doing it. For quite a long time at least that's how I remember it.

Luckily my partner is an inflatable doll so when it all gets a bit too much I can just deflate her and put her back in her carrier bag.

Thank fuck Xmas is almost over. Then we can start to look forward to longer days ahead, despite the cold. Something to celebrate and enjoy, rather than folk getting all giddy, often into debt sometimes pressured to the point of feeling suicidal, all over celebrating a religious festival, a religion the majority who celebrate don't even believe in.
You couldn't make it up.

It takes a few days after the shortest day to work out that it actually is getting lighter.
For all we know it might just carry on getting darker so it's understandable to have some celebrations.
Nothing to do with religion. As usual religions have annexed a good idea and pretended it is their idea.
Nothing new under the sun.
I got away with giving my kids a couple of kinder surprise eggs and two old family hair loom items they liked. They were as happy as Larry but I don't know if Larry was actually happy. He may have been a miserable fucker.
Smiling kids anyway so not all bad and no real spending happening which is always handy.

You couldn't make it up. Well I saw the Queen's speech today. The only bit of body language I saw was when she mentiined hugs. Then it was followed by some dodgy animation film which took the piss out of musicians unless you stuck it out to the end.

No actually it was the thinnest full size calculator ever made in the 80s and a 1980s digital world clock also from the 1980s. Proper hair looms. And both still working. I'm sure they will remain working unlike things I was given because my girls are careful and look after things.

It takes a few days after the shortest day to work out that it actually is getting lighter. It's been staying lighter later in the afternoon for nearly two weeks now, the earliest sunset was on 12th December, here in Coventry this was at 15:52:26 and tonight it was at 15:57:03 so getting on for five minutes later already.
