Can’t see this catching on this time. I certainly won’t be stood outdoors, it’s cold out there.

There will be a good few sheep venturing out, I'm sure. If enough sheep brave the cold the lemmings will follow, as sure as night follows day.

A harmless bit of fun for some who genuinely wish to signify their gratitude to folks who carry on working ... in health, care or supply services.
I don't think they're 'sheep' ... a bit rude to tar everyone.
I'd much prefer to see a significant reward in pay packets as many of these essential workers are also the worst paid amongst us.
But the clapping gives folk (who wish to) the opportunity to register their thanks.
I believe it to be well meant if meaningless.

My neighbours on both sides were out every week last time, banging pans like a loon.
Next day they have family over visiting.
Hypocrites.

I wonder if this might be an excuse to see how long my rather LOUD air horn will go for on a full extinguisher of air.
Hmm.
Middle of nowhere so no neighbours to wake up.
A bit unusual to have an opportunity to test it properly while remaining considerate.

It's a diminution of the meaning of "Hero".

Clap for the hero bus drivers! Followed by a shot of penecillin. Followed by a cross Pirrko with a sharp knife... Run foxy run

No evidence of any clapping around my home.
Anyone see any near them ?

it was quite here in Manchester... just a few geese making their usual racket.
I was hoping to nip out on hearing any and take a bow - assuming they were applauding my dieting efforts ;-)

Was it supposed to be yesterday? Totally forgot about it. Never mind Andrew, this time of year you are bound to get a foggy morning and then you can give it a proper workout
