Watching the news I was amazed at the people who had been flooded, they were demanding that someone accept responsibility (God?) Have they never heard of flood line? I have had calls at 4am on my mobile and my landline plus text message and e-mail this happens each time the Lark looks like it is going to get unruly. What do these people expect when they move into a lovely new build on a flood plain, yes they have a lovely view and to hell with the consequences. Phil

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-20288620All the rain falling out the sky for over a week wasn’t enough to convince this hapless pair to stay put at Wellingborough embankment. I watched the river get angrier and angrier by the day from the comfort of my car - you shouldn’t need a text and email service to convince you to stay put; that said the EA service is good and they hadn’t subscribed to it. Net result big brown trouser moment and a very soggy boat.

It's the modern way ...... everything is someone elses fault Think it’s taught at school . Our workforce’s first reaction when anything went wrong was It’s not my fault even if you’d seen them making the error.
