Complicated situation.
Hopefully it will be resolved without loss of life or serious injury.
The time to campaign against it is long gone in my opinion. Bit like Brexit.

I'm all in favour of HS2. Let's be honest here, the countryside is very boring. I mean, how animated can you get about a few dozen sheep chewing on some grass, or a few trees? The countryside would be infinitely more visually interesting if there was a high speed train whizzing through it at 200mph every 20 minutes or so. So bring it on I say.

I can see you are chuffed to bits about this. It's a fair point, to be fair.

Definitely some history here "As a man of action and few words, coupled with a middle-class politeness, Hooper was acceptable enough to speak to the papers and rebelious enough to make a point. His celebrity status rapidly grew, taking him to the BBC panel show Have I Got News For You in 1997. Loved by the press, the Mirror went crazy in March 1997 when Conservative Minister, John Watts, publicly declared that he would quite like to see 'Swampy' buried in concrete because of the damage he was doing to the party's transport policy." www.roads.org.uk/articles/daniel-swampy-hooperAnd I was like "trustafarian yeah yeah yeah let's have a look at your investments sir"

Just to clarify a point.
HS2 is specifically designed so that people will be able to get away from Birmingham more quickly.
London is just a side effect.

Isn't it past your bed time? Nearly. Just waiting for you to tell us all what the DM and selected comments tell us. I'll wait for 'is-a cunt' comments until tomorrow.
