Following my piss poor performance with my previous prediction thought I'd better put this right, by setting out what's going to happen in the remainder of the tournament.
First, Italy will get past Spain this evening, relatively easily.
England v Denmark will be a close call. Either Sir Raheem or Sir Harry will bag one for England. The fact that the goal was a tap in from 6 yards will not diminish the calls for sainthood. Meanwhile, the real reason for England's progress; the impressive back 4 of Walker, Stones, Brickhead and Shaw will repel most of Denmark's attacks. They will get through though. A spectacular looking dive from Pickford, apparently belying his lack of athleticism, won't be enough. The angry young man hasn't let England down yet, says Sir Gareth. Well, just wait till tomorrow, Gareth.
Extra time will be tense and tight. England will progress on penalties. While Pickford won't be elevated to sainthood his earlier blunder will be forgotten, and he'll be knighted.
The nation will rejoice. Beer will be flying everywhere in the bars and fanzones. Everything will be perfect until Lineker spoils it by describing the euphoria as a victory for black lives matter.
Italy will win the final comfortably. 3-1. Rather than football coming home, football will be going to Rome.

I think it will be tight. I also think there maybe more reasons for Denmark to want to win.
But I don't think we will concede.

I can't believe they give footballers sainthoods. Jesus would/will be rolling in his grave.

If we win it will definitely by Sir Southgate.

If we win it will definitely by Sir Southgate. I thought managers were traditionally given the Order of the Boot

Only the ones that didn't win the competition, which is all of them.
I didn't realise we only had two semi finals appearances in the euros and 3 in the world Cup.
Pretty poor for a team that is going to win it each time.

Well it wasn't easy, but the azzuri got there in the end. They are going to be tough to beat, Stones and Brickhead are going to have to be right on their game given the pace and movement of the Italian forwards. It could be a back 5 again for England.

I agree with the back 5 and then rely on pace to get a goal. Sakko and Stirling.

Perhaps beating Denmark should be our concern ... if we don't win that game Italy won't matter.

Last nights match was a classic. I’m expecting an England win tonight, but it’s football, results don’t always match expectations. The Shaw/Sterling link looks unstoppable at times and il predict this will take us through. I do really hope the England fans think about the recent Danish game and give due respect to the Danes.

Rugby is on a knife edge. Give it a few years, the players will be decked out like American footballers. Will people still be interested? I dunno.
