Rugby is on a knife edge. Give it a few years, the players will be decked out like American footballers. Will people still be interested? I dunno. This also applies to Football. What’s going to happen with the beautiful game after heading is outlawed?

Boxing continues whilst people are prepared to box. All sport will continue whilst people choose to participate. American football has a higher concussion rate than rugby BECAUSE of the padding and helmets. Changes will be made over time to sports ... for example, in rugby it is noticeable that tackles are getting lower and players generally avoid deliberate contact with players in the air ... but it will take time. And @froggy I'm English and want England to win tonight ... even if I'm not interested enough to watch. England winning is good news Rog

Since I'm not interested enough to actually watch the match but sort of want to follow the game, there is this thing called radio which will allow me to divert a small part of my attention to it. Sorted. I will probably watch a fillum simultaneously.

And this is what I will be watching. I watched Jean de Florette the other day, - a tale of hope, optimism and joy but also more than a few miserable twats because it's French. Manon des Sources is the sequel.

Can't listen to it. Not only do they have terrible jingles, all the presenters/ commentators have horrible guttural London accents. I just can't.

Well I'm using t'internet, and the alternative is 5live which I'd apparently have to sign in to, so that's not going to happen. Guttural London voices? I once knew a Norwegian chap who described German voices as guttural. He was a twat.

Manon des Sources is the sequel. I quite like French stuff. Recent series on t.v. 'La Derniere Vague' was good. Usual French mix of misogynism, fine dining 3 times a day, a barely legal temptress. Oh, and a few miserable fuckers.

That's why I can't bear to watch football these days - oh! the drama when one breaks a fingernail or someone messes up his hair.... .... much prefer the honesty of blood, guts and glory (and ripped/missing shorts) of rugby.
