Anyway, given the history of the OP, if I owned an ex-Canal Line boat I'd be shitting myself right now.

They seem to be busy enough. I know at least one of their boats is out on 3 month hire! Perhaps the midgets are running the shop---------------------------------------staff shortages?

Thank you. The other idiots here are very disparaging about her. Why? Well, for example the fit-out on my boat has almost entirely been done in iroko, or African teak. This is a superb quality wood traditionally used in boatbuilding, the lengths run almost the entire length of the boat, and the iroko alone cost the original owner, a professional boat fitter-outer, over £2,000 in 1986. However, we have one member here who shall remain nameless, but who my Mum would describe as "Lace curtains and kippers" or "Fur coat and no knickers" who, because he has no class or breeding whatsoever is more a fan of MDF and fake rivets than high quality wood, and he constantly alludes to my boat being internally coffin-like in appearance. Also, he seems unaware that Desiree is a French female name and seems to think that my boat was named after a potato, presumably because that was standard fare in the lower-class hovel he grew up in.

You've certainly nailed that passive aggressive posting style Mr Stabby but In your own lovable rogue style. I loved that post. I think he's out on the piss with the in laws.

There was a complaint about one of their hire boats on Facebook recently so I did some digging because the complainant said they shrugged him off with ABC and ABC said its not theirs.
On the hire side its quite a big Web. Canal boat club. Who has the same directors as ABC is a dormant company.
The CBC claim that unless your a member your not their customer.
The canal boat club has email addresses of abacus-reservations who trade as uk canalboating. They hire boats maintained by ABC and appear to be just a booking company.

I initially read that as "hore boats" and became intrigued.

I take it that whoever you are referring to wont be invited to join the Goon Squad then.. The point is, if you like it that's all that matters.

He's the chief sweary old chip-shouldered weirdo I believe. You missed out from God’s cesspit of mistakes.

This was a deliberate omission as I refuse to validate the potential existence of deities.
