aren't you moored around here? Hi everyone. We’ve had our widebeam burgled and stripped at some point between Friday evening and this morning. They’ve stolen everything of value including batteries, stove, washing machine etc. We are moored on the Limehouse cut by Poplar Jobcentre, so if anyone saw/heard anything could you let us know. Also, if anyone else is moored in the area be advised this is the second boat recently that this has happened to, and it was a professional job, as they’ve not left a mess. Be careful everyone x www.facebook.com/groups/londonboaters/permalink/10157820911691286/

Oh mate really sorry to hear this. Not me, I look down on the rest of the boating fraternity from the top of the hill. FB post, just a feeling young Andrew has some of his flotilla round there. He's on the Thames Upping Swans. He's very brave, they can break your arm you know.

Yes one of my boats is on limehouse cut on a residential mooring.
Until recently I had another of my boats in the area on the towpath. That one was stripped back in the winter. I did a "pointless burglars" thread on here about it. Coal fire, diesel heater, everything else taken. All of it was junk anyway but they were into taking as much as possible.
It seems to be quite a popular place for full scale burglaries like this and it appears to be another boat person doing it.
I did read on Facebook some idiot implying that it was someone on one of the residential moorings who was doing the burglaries.
Hmm well it does appear to be another boater but as I have been away I can confirm it ain't me!
Anyway luckily my time in that hellhole is nearly at an end, and nasty shit like that happening regularly is just an indicator the get out fully.

I reckon the cause is scumbag thieves.
I must say I did quite like it when one of my items worth about £100 turned up on eBay and was bid up to £64,000 by the TB Massive Crew.
I was late in contacting the rozzers as they have other shit to deal with but when I did an online form I got two calls back. One from admin and one from a lady PC who actually attended a boat burglary same area same night and yes the fire was stolen. It was below freezing and there had been snow.
Lowlife.
Needs big cable ties and a heavy anchor.

Cranial remodeling by mooring pin recommended. The thunderboat way is red hot mooring pins in the eyes. Thanks to the febrile brane of naughtyfox. One of his few useful ideas. It makes a satisfying sizzle.
