Just to add that not long after Sam started at Hornby, a film crew arrived to film a behind-the-scenes documentary which is going to be aired on Quest, next month I think. They did a long interview with him about his role in the technical support department, mainly because no-one else wanted to do it, and although it may be cut from the programme when it's aired it will probably be worth a watch for model rail enthusiasts anyway. EDIT to say it's going to be screened on Yesterday, not Quest. corporate.uktv.co.uk/news/article/uktv-yesterday-channel-hornby/

I think if we ever won millions and had a big house with a loft I would probably build a huge model railway. I think it goes back to when I was a kid, I used to train spot and remember standing on a bridge with about 30 or so other excited kids waiting for a steam train to come through. I can still remember the rumble and thunder and the smoke and steam and all us lot shouting and screaming with excitement as the train passed under the bridge. In a way I feel sorry for the kids of today, they will never experience those things. And thinking about it, Christ, where have all the years gone.

Flying Scotsman this weekend... Working at Heywood Fete tomorrow, maybe I'll go by the station, see if it's around. I'll be in pieces.😉
