That’s not a representative cross section of this countries society let alone the worlds! I’ll make a bet with you now that within 10years most people will know about it. I suspect most people know about it now, (especially the french). Doesn’t mean everyone is going to go out and buy one. I doubt if too many people are aware of composting loos. Away from boats, there are many areas where they are totally impractical without special arrangements such as in cities where much of the accommodation has no outdoor space for storage such as terraced housing and blocks of flats and apartments.

Although us English folk prefer to avoid the subject, the rest of the world are well aware, and the smallest amount of research will show you how popular composting loos are.
