Cycling home yesterday up the canal I stopped to chat with a couple going through a lock, she was trying to open top gates with a bottom paddle up 6" (the lock has to be left empty and she'd missed it). They are stopping in Littleborough to get measured for a complete new hood. A bit of fading and one split plastic window on existing one, with Ali frame underneath. Asked what's happening to the old one, if I go down on the 6th when new one is going on I can have it, will have to talk ££, but I can't see it being much. The boat had a short cruiser stern, looks like it would fit mine with a bit of fettling.

To be fair, with that plastic roof box you'll not notice the covers Rog

Are you related to the Steptoes'? One man's junk is another man's treasure Most definitely a born skip rooter. Are you related to a grocer, with your unneeded apostrophes? It looked ok, a clean with the pvc cleaner should sort it. I'll ask the guy what the new hood has cost and then gloat about it here. Here's something to annoy the "Pay my tax and get nowt in return" brigade- I got a call from Rochdale Council Carers Support a couple of months back "Hello, as an unpaid carer you are entitled to £250 a year to spend on yourself." What a nice lady I thought. So now got a Brookes saddle for my bike and a pair of Shimano hybrid boots, walking boots with SPD plates for the clipless pedals on my bike. Well comfy, great for the snow to come next week.
