Update on 10/12/2021:
Our contractors continue to work through a number of fallen trees across the region following Storm Arwen. Navigation remains open, and we politely request all customers to navigate through the affected area with care until the windblown tree at Bridge 136, Hawkes House Bridge on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has been removed.
An update will be provided by Tuesday, 14 December.

I see CRT have updated the notice.
Correction.
The obstruction is not a tree, it's a Triffid.
The canal and towpath are now closed.
CRT staff are currently assessing the situation running for their lives.
