It seems CRT are now selling property behind closed doors, hiding the deals from public and government scrutiny.
”Oakman Inns has acquired the Three Locks in Stoke Hammond, Milton Keynes, adding to their new trading division, Ashmore Inns. The division will manage a number of public houses, where the freehold isn't owned by another party; other pubs in the portfolio include The Pointer in Brill as well as The White Swan in Twickenham.
Peter Borg-Neal, CEO of Oakman Inns, said: "I think Ashmore Inns is going to play a very profitable role in the ever-developing Oakman story. Taking on pubs that we admire under sensible commercial terms on a managed contract basis ultimately improves the value of the property for the owners as we improve footfall and sales. Tom Cormie at Fleurets has made the entire process very smooth, as always, and he knew us well enough to know that we would want to get involved."
The Three Locks is a pretty, canal side pub built in the 1900s and the transaction was brokered on behalf of Aspley Pub Company Ltd by Tom Cormie of Fleurets.
Rufus Hall, Chairman of Aspley Pub Company Ltd commented:
I want to express my sincere thanks for Tom at Fleurets who conducted this off-market transaction with astonishing speed and ease”
