I usually like to explain to these sorts of people that the world never started and it will never end. It's impossibile for either of these things to occur. Humans are fundamentally bound by the biological lifeform which has a finite existence. Therefore everything must be finite. However that isn't and can not be the case. It's amazing how limiting the human brain is in this regard. "The universe is not only stranger than we imagine; it is stranger than we can imagine". (J.B.S. Haldane)

Asimov once wrote a short story called 'Nightfall'. It is regarded (by some) as one of the most important sci-fi tales ever written. Wot you wrote could have been in the introduction. It's not long, I suggest you give it a try (not the extended novel produced in a collaboration with Robert Silverberg).

Expressing views that one believes the covid bollocks may not be all that genuine makes you a conspiracy theorist. It's not a valid exchange of views when one side of the argument is wrong. Having this sort of view makes you a conspiracy theorist and what's more a heretic and you shall be burned at the stake. Not true, there are many of us who are aware Covid exists but believe we may have gone to far with restrictions, that doesn't make you a conspiracy theorist, Making wild claims and calling them facts might do though.

I have had a nice glass of Brandy with breakfast on quite a few occasions normally holiday related or mess dos when I was in the Army. Back on subject it does look like the whole thing is being kicked into the long grass, I have spoken to a few people about it and most couldnt have cared less, its just a media frenzy for myself and I am hoping that Boris shits on them from a great height! No TV license for instance sharpish will get him some votes

"Dick came out as lesbian in April 2017, making her the highest-ranked openly homosexual officer in British police history. Her partner Helen Ball is Assistant Commissioner for Professionalism in the MPS." What are the odds of that? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cressida_Dick

However I get tired of covid being raised on every damn thread, and I believe others do too. Which is why I started one thread - 'Covid Forever!' During the Second World War, guess what people mostly talked about? 'Covid' now dominates nearly every aspect of our lives now. Right down to the cost of your railway tickets.

Having this sort of view makes you a conspiracy theorist and what's more a heretic and you shall be burned at the stake. This country and a lot of others would be better off if the so called ruling classes where burnt at the stake. You have been radicalised to believe there are 'classes'. A nasty trick the Indians do with their 'castes' - pretty much the same thing.

Now I understand why you hate her. Perhaps we should let him clarify what he is saying. Maybe he thinks the former commissioner had a bearing on the appointment of the next. But I think we all know what he was implying. Personally I like lesbians.
