The government are considering taxing solar power generated by all domestic solar panels. It is hoped that this will help recoup tax lost from recent falling domestic oil sales.
Every solar panel array will be fitted with a smart meter connected to the Internet or fool-proof logging system.
It is understood that there will be reduced taxation on solar energy used for domestic purposes on boats, this can be self declared via a claim form each tax year.
