I'm sure that people are put off certain moorings for various reasons.
It could be TV signal, internet signal, crap solar on account of being shaded or even just general dickheadery issues related to scrotes.
Does anyone have any particular requirements of a mooring spot other than getting in to the side and being able to tie the boat up?

Where possible, it's good to be moored alone.

I normally prefer somewhere quiet and bucolic although I do moor in towns if I need to do shopping. If I need or want to go out on the Clockwork Banana then I need to moor near a road bridge which ideally has a slope rather than steps to access the road. I normally get an internet signal pretty much everywhere and phone signal almost everywhere. I rarely watch TV so a TV signal isn't an issue but if there was something I wanted to watch then I have a fairly good idea of whether I could get a signal somewhere or not based on terrain. Oh, and well away from "Fingers" and his moll of course.

To be fair I thought your advice to others to moor alone was quite good advice. Assuming you have not got a bike.

We like to moor somewhere quite with good TV reception, i do a spot of fishing and drinking while T chills out. Then the night chill out together watching a good film.
On the Lanky though its luck to get to the side to moor up, And the places that you can its luck if you get to be alone as folk turn up with there NB`s and run engines for hours on end. Cruise for miles to middle of know where and you still cant escape.

Newton Heath, a mooring for fools.
Otherwise where there is reception for radio or phone (to get radio by BBC Sounds). No TV needed. Ideally there will be a nice view and no bugger else around to hear the screams - some of us know how to treat a woman properly π.

I did wonder Jim if in your case it was you that would be screaming rather than Noreen ... all that juggling, fire-eating and dumb jokes ... you can wear stilts but you can't hide π Rog
