Just a suggestion ... nothing more. What about those who wish to slag each other off start there own threads to do so ... that would give the rest of us the opportunity to avoid them Rog

I did have a 1 hour lunch break but other than that am still in the floating ... Beer... Platform.
And counting.
Looks like about 9 hours after deductions.
Cast ne'er a clout til the June be out is what I say.
Isn't it.

You were so pleasant and helpful to me a few years ago when I sought advice in the Trent. What happened to you Tony? I hope that somehow you can find some light. Nothing's "happened" to me, Ian, . . . apart from my running out of patience with the arseholes, lowlifes, and vacuous prats who have reduced this forum to nothing but a pointless shadow of its former self where serious subjects invariably get buried under a lot of moronic crap by a few stupid people with nothing better to do than indulge in public displays of their profound and wide ranging ignorance. Why do you still visit then? It's not like there aren't other forums on the internet you could visit instead.

Finally managed to get out of the little yellow electric thing.
It was hard work but had to be done at some stage as no cooking facilities in there.
In another life I would live on an electric canoe. Maybe the life of a spider.
Fire cranked up to full power on the mothership. Quite warm in here now.
I suppose it is June to be fair.

Heavy rain here last night and chilly enough to light the woodburner ...... handy though as being able to burn some of the household waste reduces the frequency of bin trips Lovely bright sunrise this morning and there is a fairly optimistic looking forecast for the next few days Fingers crossed

You do post some bollocks "I had 3 vaccines for Covid, and then got Covid. Thank goodness I had those vaccinations or it might have been worse." You do post some bollocks. Thought you sold/got stung selling your boats to go on road trips? Not to post more drivel. Back on ignore for you.

To the pleasant chap on the narrow boat who recognised my boat (from my avatar) as he passed by ... good to fleetingly say hello ... why not introduce yourself here. The vast majority of us ... well a few of us ... well I don't bite, and it's always good to hear new voices here. Rog Rog... As this is a boating forum, let me put it this way. You moor in a lovely place, only to find a loud, grumpy fisherman opposite. He casts his bait, and within a few minutes catches a load of loud angry fish. So you move the boat 100 yards. Look out the window, and the same fisherman has moved up with you. He casts his bait, and, sure enough, the same fish have followed him, loud and angry. This keeps happening every time you move. So, as you get tired of it, and decide to move onto a different canal, you think... "Why do the same fish keep on taking the same bait all the time? Have they no brains? Can they not ignore the fisherman?" Great fun for the fisherman of course, but so, so, boring to everyone else. But I guess you already knew that. And 'Hello', by the way.

Hello and welcome to this place ... it is what it is. As to your analogy ... I try to ignore the big angry fisherman but decline to leave the canals to avoid him. I'm having a good day and remain happy and willing to chat ... him choosing to be angry won't be allowed to ruin my day and hopefully not yours too Thanks for replying ... nearly got caught talking to myself 🤣🤣 Rog

I will respond to any questions or requests posted on this internet dump Here's one. Just what is it that you think TB and its participants should be doing instead of 'participating in moronic crap'? PS we know you'd like Kris to wreck his boat. This doesn't require any clarification.

I had a narrow escape earlier when I entered a Thames lock before the keeper waved me in.
Was in a small grp canoe and I was like "OMG"
I was observing the way the lockie was pulling up the sluices and it seemed faster than usual so assumed nobody was in the lock.
Turned out there was a 60ft wide bean in there so probably about 24-28 tons and the bugger helming had no idea I was there.
It was okay and I knew it was okay but hell's teeth
Worse things happen at sea.
Pleased to avoid damage to the class act craft.
