I was hoping there might be a witticism or two in your post, but sadly not so much as a bon mot. What a shame.

A solution to the 'energy crisis'
Why not drill from Australia into the bottom of the Russian gas and oil fields?
Declare Aussie sovereignty over the underneath of Russia
As much free gas and oil as we could shake a stick at
Why has no one thought of this before me?
Anyone got Liz T's mobile no?

in view that "directional drilling" is now a fine art, and (as NF knows) it would not be practical to drill through the Earth's core, a better plan would be for the Norwegians and the Alaskans to drill horizontally just below the surface from opposite directions and achieve the same objectives, sharing the spoils between the US and Europe. I realise that Liz has personally forged a wonderful trade deal with the Australians (as she keeps reminding us) but I wouldn't trust them with anything as volatile as oil or gas. let alone 100,000 sheep on a livestock carrier.

Wind turbines now desecrating the landscape everywhere you look - yet the cost of electricity is going... UP??!!
"I understand that each turbine needs 300 to 400 litres of high quality lubricating oil and that this needs changing annually. I estimate that this means the UK currently uses 4 million litres of high quality lubricating oil per annum for its wind turbines............ how green is my valley?"
"Needs changing every 6 months. ~500-700 gallons for the monsters.
Add in noise, dead birds, chopped and decapitated. No wind, no energy. Add in maintenance. Then the turbine and blades need replacing after a period. They bury the old blades in the earth. No re-use here. Replacements made using the nasty carbon based fuels.... maybe they can bury the blades by the mountain of EV batteries and disused solar panels?"

Between 10,000 and 100,000 birds are killed by wind turbines in the UK annually. It sounds a lot, but to put it in context, domestic cats kill around 55 million in the same time period.
A Norwegian study has shown bird deaths were reduced by 70% if one of the blades is painted black.

Interesting to see Finnair heading straight up to avoid Russian airspace.

"At no point in the Great Covid Scam has any so-called science person asked, "what would have happened if we did nothing?". So let's go there.
1: Children, who have low risk, would not have lost a year of schooling. They would not believe they were disease carriers who could somehow kill people. Exams would have not been cancelled and and they would not all be tainted by spending too long looking at uneducated morons on social media talking about climate change and gender issues. They would also not have loads of spots caused by wearing a mask all day. Let alone the mental stress of being locked up indoors, especially the poor fuckers who live in flats!!
2: Old people are now terrified of dying! People in care homes would have not been imprisoned in solitary with zero visiting rights. People with respiratory problems forced to wear masks. I was in a chemist's in a queue when an old woman walked in and sneezed. My god you would have thought she had just whipped a gun out. "It's okay I only have the flu" she cried. Nobody believed her. She then put a mask on. But, oh, the looks she was getting. A caring world, eh?
3. The economy. We would not be £3 trillion in debt and all our services would not be fucked. We would not have thrown £37 billion away on a idiotic app and god knows how much of giving called businesses relief money.
4. The NHS. Fucked before, even more fucked now.
5. Doctors. Would still be working five days a week and zoom consultations would NEVER happen. They would also have spoken out if they noticed a trend that might be dangerous and they cared about patients well being.
6. Holiday. No country would be off limits no matter what jabs I had.
7. Trust. We would probably trust politicians more and think they had our best interests at heart. The same as the NHS. We would not be fact checking everything people say."
