This morning I began my normal ritual ...... switch on the kettle, grab a mug off the rack and toss in a teabag.
Then switch on the laptop and take my morning medication ..... by this time kettle has boiled walk back to the galley area and pour boiling water into the mug.
This is where things went askew .... there was a loud "click" and th bottom of the mug detached and shot boiling weak tea out ..... landing on my stockinged foot.
I then "hotfooted" to the freezer and grabbed the emergency frozen peas and a cold water soaked cloth.
That was very un-neighbourly of that mug .... I have treasured it for many years and look how it returns the love and care !!!
Bastard !!! that's what it is a right bastard !!!

Yes thanks Andrew, got cold water on it immediately and an ice pack on as well for the last half hour ..... stings a little but no real damage (apart from the shock that is !!! .... talk about a cup of tea to wake you up )
