Nice item. A bit like the Storebro Royals. I saw a nice Storebro Royal recently on the Thames in fine shape. I think it was one of the wooden ones but not entirely sure. Nice to see a bit of class in amongst all the awful modern GRP junk. I would not want to be the owner though. Boat in John's link: Storebro Royal 34 from Storebropassion website .

Not my kind of boat, if I didn't have responsibilities here, I'd fancy living in Orkney.

Not my kind of boat, if I didn't have responsibilities here, I'd fancy living in Orkney. live in Orkney ....... it's cold and dark half the year, that does terrible things to people's sanity ..... I mean .... look at Foxy and anyway if you were thinking of that 99p wooden boat ........ just be careful they don't pinch it for Up Helly Aa

It's arse about backwards to the normal ditchcrawler convention - that said a fair metal basher will find it easier putting a steel top on a wooden hull - I'd take that option over getting splinters in my hairy palms along with sawdust in me earholes eyeholes and nose holes sticking with wood 🤔🤣🙈👍 Truth be told it's probably another load of firewood - wooden boats at that price point usually are. Its probably a pair of BMC/Nuffield 3.8's in it, not exotic enough to make it worthwhile breaking. Stick with the Freeman plan, you won't spend every night afloat with your arm dangling over your bunk.....

Ye Gazza already had second thoughts on it again. Was at £9k for a few weeks when i want looking. Sticking with the Freeman

Glad to hear you've been cured of your wooden boat fetish Faffer Me ? I'm still very poorly, I keep dreaming about that Pegasus download (2) by mudlarker2, on Flickr Sigh

Loads of varnish wasters up at Henley I'll try to get some photos this weekend of the fun and games. All my boats are welded steel or GRP so despite being traditional nnone of them are eligible.
