I quite like this apolloduck.net/61060532x10ft Steel Twin BMC 1.8 Accomodation cabin £12k Looks nice and "Boaty". I specially like the lifeboat style forward cabin.

Dutch boats have a tendency to be very attractive but there seem to often be basic problems like headroom or dodgy access arrangements. I've seen quite expensive luxemotors where the cabin steps were like loft ladder stairs. That just isn't comfortable for full time use. I think you could raise the cabin top on this one, with out ruining the lines but hey ho its another one i wont be buying. I think so too Kris, and the dimensions are rather nice, it's only the DAF engine (of which I've got 2 in my boat) that is putting me off buying (and of course the still lacking funds). It wouldn't be hard to raise the coamings a bit without spoiling it's nice lines, but it's a bit too long for the L&L, but for this side of the Channel just under 20m is very good. Peter.

Wouldn't be a boat for young andrew, as there a painful lack of forward visibility . Peter.

I think if i was pushed for an answer they would be my favourite type of dutch barge. But alas its another i wont be buying.

Was at that yard earlier this year (on the river Welland, starting point for my trip on the barge "Cawood")
I remember looking at it there and thinking it was a solid looking job

I would almost forget that jealousy isn't my weak point . Peter.

A hatch in the wheelhouse roof would solve both (possible) problems. Peter. Either that or he could chop his legs off at the knees. Sometimes you need a bit more time to come with an easy- and most effective solution to what would have been a real problem for most other people, it's almost too simple to think about it, maybe you're a genius. You should start advertising in boating magazines, "If you're fed up with bending over to avoid hitting your head on your boat, I have a cheaper solution for you, no steel cutting or welding involved". That may supply you with the funds to buy the boats that we can only look at now. Peter.
