Steel hulled boat sitting in sea water since the year dot is a recipe for "tears before bedtime" methinks. The marina are probably desperate to get rid of it before it sinks.

Did they tell the gays?
It could bring a whole new meaning to the request "I want you in bright and early tomorrow morning".
Looks like scrap. Presumably of the negative value variety.
One imagines scenes of unimaginable torment with concrete linings and dead Somalis without passports. And asbestos insulation. And bad vibes.
Also the fact it is in a coastal marina makes it a real bugger to take away.
Free free free ! But it isn't

At nearly 100' long and 17' wide the cost of cranage and road haulage would be astronomical, and I imagine that it would be about as welcome as a ginger stepchild at any other South Coast marina so that only really leaves towing to Portishead to be cut up for scrap and I'm sure that will have been looked into already.

Also I think "is currently in use as a multi-functional community space" is probably a euphemism for "it's got squatters living on it".

It’s does seem a bit like, we’ve earnt our money out of it. But we don’t want to pay to dispose of it. So does someone want to do that for us.

It is interesting they have got boatshed the foxtons of the water into it.
They will catch a mug.
Scumbags.
Anyway it doesn't have a Gardner in it does it ?
There is a wreck local to me near ones country estate which is going to go down soon and has a 5 pot Gardner. Unusual craft we it is an old teak pinnace with a steel cabin. Maybe it won't sink. Nobody on it. 5LW I think.

You can apply to the Land Registry if you want to know the name(s) of title holders for anything in the UK; is there any similar accessible record for boats? My feeling is 'not'.

I can find out whose boat it is if needed but on balance the steel cabin and the teak hull is a bit awkward to handle. I think maybe best left there. If it was a 3 pot Gardner then maybe .. or a 4. But I have it on good authority it is a 5 which while being a nice item is probably a bit useless.

I'm sure you could but I was merely wondering about a boat register. I have no use for a Gardner at present.

I'm sure you could but I was merely wondering about a boat register. I have no use for a Gardner at present. There is no boat registry. What with boats going up in value because licensing is too cheap I wonder if it would be a good idea to pin boats down more effectively. Won't happen.
