Apparently it’s been condemned in Italy.

That is not a good sign given that everything is fucked in Italy. I would really not like to be taking their scrap !

I find it amusing that the plan is to moor it in one of the richest post codes in Dorset.

I find it amusing that the plan is to moor it in one of the richest post codes in Dorset. You have never been to Portland have you. Very different than Weymouth.
The blocks of flats you can see in the picture were built for the Olympics still not finished... The rather large prison is just up the road.

There was a similar vessel looking for a home for years (and quite recently) which moved around the Thames - Medway area. It started as a floating Maccy D before becoming an accommodation barge. No idea of its current status.

No idea of its current status. I've seen this. Hang on. Eta. You have this one in Rochester but I've no idea about it being a McDonald's. I've got it pinned to go visit at some point.

Would I be able to continuous cruise that through London? I’m asking for a friend.

No.
You could probably get away with about 6 months on the wall in Limehouse if they can get you through the lock.
Just wait for the paperwork to be dealt with. It'll be fine !
