Looks like others have been more Draconian. He must have been blocked and the brief reappearance was just an attempt to get through the filter. There are ways to deal with these things on forums. It does seem plausible that the CRT have shut him up given his slightly ignorant systematic attempts to badmouth them. I checked the profile on TD's last visit, it was an old profile, not a newly created one. Not sure what's going on with him. He hadn't created a sock at that point. There didn't seem to be too much dissing of Lucy and her pals either IMMSMR, the spite and bile is directed at us cynical unbelievers. Perhaps she has sent the big lads round after all. Or perhaps they've instigated Bingo, Cribbage and Donimos in the communal lounge and he's distracted.

I always remember visiting the old peoples home as part of our secondary education.
We basically went there and patronised the oldies and played on their pool table.
There was a great old lady in a chair You could go up to her and say 'hello dear. would you like a nice cup of tea?' and her response was a beautiful thing 'WHY DON'T YOU JUST BUGGER AWF!'
What a nightmare those places must be I'd rather be ten feet underwater until the body surfaces.

It seemed a strange choice of time to up the enforcement process.
I would have thought they needed every licence payers cash now more than ever ... whether they cruise or not.

Maybe just a staff change.
If someone with a bee in their bonnet got into a position of influence things could change quite quickly.
Hitler is the most obvious one but there will be others.
Maybe there is an anti liveaboard git nazi in the CRT on a mission.

Rog The CRT are there to fail. That is the reason for their existence. Spending lots of money to reduce their income is a good way of doing it.

I was sent to one as well as part of a secondary school initiative. At the time I perceived it as punishment for not being a great student. I found it to be utterly pointless and rather horrible (and they didn't even have a pool table). It was supposed to last two weeks or so but after the first day it just became another reason for not bothering to show up. My mum spent her last few months in such a place but by then she didn't really understand where she was and to be honest it seemed part of her liked it that there was always someone there. There were lots of old doo-lally people there, mostly women, none of whom had a grip on reality. Most of them were very placid and content enough. I wished my mum had been like that; unfortunately her brand of dementia meant that she became increasingly aggressive. Or maybe it was the last gasp of independent spirit; it was hard to tell. A thing I remember as odd; she had a walking-stick which had a weird-shaped handle designed to fit into your palm; however she always held it back-to-front and, despite several attempts to explain it might be better the other way, nothing would persuade her to try it. Used it for years like that. But when she was really approaching the last gasp, one day she suddenly said "you know, I think this is meant to be used like this..." and started holding it the other way. But by then it seemed she had lost all concept of past and future and there wasn't much that came as a surprise anymore.

I suppose they do perform a function.
