That's crap kris , sorry. But if he takes £200 off everybody who books in only to find excessive water in there, what insentive is there for him to fix it. Rog And it's very incensitive. You'll have to be quicker if you want to be a smart arse ... already corrected my typo Rog

It gave me chance to check all the plates I stuck on last year, they are all still on anyway so that’s good.

I’ve also got a month to do some other jobs now, so I think I’ll sort out getting my alternators to charge my lithiums, so I can stick two fingers up at nick.

Seems a lot of effort to go to just for that. But anyway, I’ll let you into a secret … to get alternators to charge lithiums you just need to wire them together and to the batteries. Not hard even for you. But the question will be whether it’s all still working in a couple of years, without having taken the batteries into the squeaky zone. But I am of course flattered to hear that I form a major part of your motivation. Yes it really is all about me.

I'd be seriously pissed off about the £200.I'm usually quite well behaved Kris, but that's seriously taking the mickey & the money would pay for an awful lot of drinkipoos !!!

The sun came out the day you went home? The sun came out the day before we went home. And I suspect it will come out the day after we went home too. Which is jolly exciting.

This might help to grease the wheels and prevent squeaks - a B2B device, I fitted one in my caravan to take care of the car charging the lipo battery www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303713721045

And necessary for a modern vehicle where the engine ECU varies the alternator voltage according to engine load. But quite expensive and rather inefficient. For a boat it’s better to control the alternator at source.

Is that a technical term? I seem to recall that kris has Valence batteries. They have a BMS of sorts in that they can report SoC and do top balancing. But they have no disconnect function for if/when the cell voltage gets too high or too low, to prevent charging at low temperatures etc. That is what I call the squeaky zone - the zone where a proper BMS would have disconnected the cells to protect them.
