Well done kris ... well done the dry Dock too , only fair 👍 Rog Yes they where just chancing their arm. I just mentioned the possibility of the small claims court and he changed his mind. I’ve got to call Monday though to actually get the money, more delaying tactics but I’m sure I’ll get it. The thing is he’s got a claim against crt for the damage done to the gates by their boat. So he could hardly argue it’s fit for purpose.

That's crap kris , sorry. But if he takes £200 off everybody who books in only to find excessive water in there, what incentive is there for him to fix it. Rog

So more delaying tactics from the drydock. Oh the boss isn’t in until Thursday. So they still haven’t refunded the deposit. They told me on Thursday to phone Monday. I think it might take a visit in person to sort it out.

Is there anywhere highly inconvenient that you could park your boat? 😊
FYI Stugots - Italian slang meaning 'bollocks'.

So went and drove over to staniland marine to get the refund in cash this morning. I wasn’t going to give him another opportunity to fob me off over the phone. He was shocked when I arrived in his office, but still tried to fob me off with £150, I had to hint I might eat his heart if he didn’t pay me £200. He saw the sense after arguing for a while and paid up the £200. So anyway to anyone thinking of hiring out staniland marine drydock DONT unless you like working in 8inches of water and that was when the pound is down because of the breach. It might be alright if all you want to do is work on your stern gear or you don’t mind putting your blacking on in a damp atmosphere. I really wouldn’t recommend using the 16amp 240v electric cable that they supply, unless you want to die.

Good job that, with your boating skill you could be a CRT Boat Snatcher. First dibs on any decent craft, some are only snatched because they don't have a BSC, having been self declared exempt.

I worked for crt for 3-4 years jim, the best thing I ever did was stop working for them. Even though I got a free licence.
