You going norther, further and higher then? Will your boat fit over the top of the hill? You mentioned right on boat dwellers congregating on the KnA, it's like that around Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, we've even had an eog mooring created one pound down from my mooring by some lovely offcomeduns from the KnA. Luckily I can’t get that far without going over the L@L and through Manchester. I think if I set off now it would take 2-3 years allowing for stoppages and water levels. Good job the only thing hebden bridge is good for is the second hand shops.Rich hippies donate a lot of good stuff.

What size is your boat? C&H impassable?

As for bottling it, I’m not one of the wealthy retirees like yourself. So I now have to find some work for the winter, so don’t have the time to go galavanting unlike yourself.

That means all the locks, at least from dewsbury? upwards are too small. 60 ft NB's go in diagonally, you can't. So you haven't bottled anything, fi definitely did bottle it, feared of a bit o'wet on't deck. Strange when he claims to be adventurous.

I looked into it last time i was up here. It’s not very inviting to go up and have to turn round and come back. I will do it one day though to have a look, but not this year. How did your adventures on the sunny side go?

How did your adventures on the sunny side go? Blackpool trip was pleasant. Boat is over on the dark side at woodleford, going tomorrow to do the 14 day shuffle, probably to Fishpond, looks like there's some nice walks around there. We will then decide whether to meander towards Sheffield before starting back up the hill. Grandson and partner are hankering after a trip, so they might fetch it some of the way for us. Good to encourage them.

I can't get over the Thames. It is so pleasant. Too many southerners for me. There is that. They seem alright. I can put people at ease because while looking like a scruffy version of Huckleberry Finn I also exude an air of refined status, class and confidence which reassures them they are engaging with someone of a higher level.
