Despite the hassle with the drydock, I’m liking being on the northern waterways again. Moored in a lovely spot. okay I can hear a road, nowhere is perfect. But plenty of sun on the solar panels, loads of trees around. Including dead ones to harvest if I was a pyromaniac like Andrew. No boats moored near me and one boat past In the last four hours. Unless a boat moors up behind me, I’m happy. England really does get better the further north you go.

Apart from the people. Once you get used to the friendliness and talking to people you don’t know in supermarkets etc then they are okay. I realise for you southerners this can be a hard adjustment to make.

I hear the towpaths are a lot tidier and boat dwellers don't spoil the place.

Up north where kris ? You don't have to be specific of course. Rog I’m not saying, just to be on the safe side. But not far from the dry dock if you can put it together.

You going norther, further and higher then? Will your boat fit over the top of the hill?
You mentioned right on boat dwellers congregating on the KnA, it's like that around Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, we've even had an eog mooring created one pound down from my mooring by some lovely offcomeduns from the KnA.
