Planetary asset stripping. We are going to run out of resources so we need to find more. Also the ultimate gated community for the ultra rich. Do we really want someone like Elon musk deciding the future of the human race.

There are worse people. The future of space exploration will inevitably be commercial.
Mind you I couldn't help but wonder how may starving children the Indian gov could have fed for the price of a moon rocket. Still, I expect all that cheap Russian oil helped out a bit.
