Throwing those lighters as hard as possible against a wall can be fun if the spark goes off at the right time.
Shooting lighter refill gas canisters with the air rifle with the top part doused in lit petrol is wicked.
Much better than sniffing the stuff.
I once did one where the flame went out just before I hit it and there was just a hiss and a loss of gas. Very disappointing.
Must try harder.
Bonfire with a camping gaz bottle on it might be worth a go.
Oh to be old again!

Over £12 billion raised from alcohol taxation this year, and that's ignoring jobs relating to alcohol production, distribution and sales and additional taxation from earnings.
Alcohol must be quite high on the scale of producing customers for the NHS too.
Is it because of the decline in tobacco that it is now seen as a soft target ?
I still am unhappy with state intervention on such personal choices.
Perhaps high risk sports like gliding could be a target for banning ... where does the nannying end ?

Rog I realise you are just lashing out with a passive aggressive personal attack but as a point of fact, if gliding were a high risk sport then your point might have merit. But it isn’t and so it doesn’t. In the 55 year history of the club we have in fact had one fatality, late 70s I recall, but the chap was first incapacitated by a medical issue before crashing. Other than that, no serious injuries or fatalities. So not really high risk is it, silly boy.

Less than I smoke. I've admitted to the doc to 20 a day... Personally I loathe the 'how many a day' question. Truth be told it's probably more than 20 but I roll them so thin there's more paper than tobacco. I worked it out by weight once, it seems to be the equivalent of about 5 ready-made smokes. I have a mate who is a good five stone overweight. He knows it and he has been known to drop several stones by applying himself, but the weight so far has crept back on. Having said that, he's fairly active and keeps very busy. He always complains that whenever he has ANY medical issue the answer is always 'you must lose weight' ... sore throat, athletes foot, dandruff ... it's your weight. He gets quite irritable about it. ANY brownie points he gains from being a life time none smoker it appears are outweighed by being a fatty. I suppose we can't win. Rog

Very safe because you only die when you hit the ground, therefore keeping as far away from the ground as possible is best.
