I don't get free scrips. Am I missing a trick ? I don’t think getting £12,000 a year paid for a mooring is missing a trick.

Well, I've read that 4 out of 5 immigrants claim benefits, so hopefully it will be enforced on them as well. Can't see free prescriptions being stopped to out of work people, am pretty sure that would be a tricky one to implement. All sorts of minefields with that. I really cannot believe I only learned today that unemployment claimants get free prescriptions. Sometimes I wonder how I can still be so very naive. The amount you get on benefits isn't supposed to pay for luxuries...

I do wonder who gets what. One of our friends was badly hurt in an accident-if you saw him move you could tell he has painful, movement difficulties. We heard someone challenge him over the assistance he gets saying how 'useful' it was for him not to pay mooring fees etc.Just to add insult to injury-his boat went up in flames a few years ago but he now has an excellent replacement.

I wonder if they have the same problems finding a dentist as working people do. Then again, if you can get on the Bibby barge in Weymouth, you are guaranteed treatment.

What some don't understand is that benefits are set at a minimalist level, the level is meant to allow you to survive, not luxuries like prescriptions and dental treatment. That is why these luxuries/essentials are given free if you actually need them.

This always happens to me .
Move onto a boat then immediately they do the BW Act. Then everyone is 'thinking of living on a boat'.
Magnets. Play with really big magnets never see anyone else with a proper one then they've all got them.
Ride an electric scooter nobody else doing now they all doing it.
As soon as I dabble in benefit claiming the .gov notice and say they are going to sort it out.
Mad shit what next ?

Don’t forget it’s election year, bashing people on benefits is a vote Winning, rabble rousing mantra. But nothing much will change. What people forget is that 60-70% of people who claim benefits are in work.

I'm not that worried about it as my claim is only a temporary one anyway while I get my shit together.

I think we should do what South Africa does. Unemployed get 6-mnths unemployment at a 45% rate of your last salary. You'd need to work for at least 12-mnths before being eligible again.

Freeloading benefit scroungers hammered, dangerous dogs exterminated, law changes to enable migrants sent to Rwanda and now TAX CUTS, all whilst the red shite tear themselves apart over a country thousands of miles away!🙄 Its looking like another tory election victory will be on the cards😂😉 www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-67472117
