WTF C&RT don’t just bring in a c £3-5 nightly towpath charge in to anyone without an official permanent mooring is beyond me!🤷🏽♂️

Management would be quite complex.
Towpaths are a major untapped asset.
The problem with allowing them to have hard surfaces and become roadways is that the people with vehicles are not interested in the water. They would much prefer if it was a wider road.

Management would be quite complex. Bullshit..... C&RT are aware of official moorings, marinas, EOG, Farmers fields etc, anyone not able to prove thier permanent moorings, pay up... whats not to like?

One would need to be careful about giving people contractual permission to stay somewhere. If this happened the mooring fees would have to be regional otherwise obvious issues would arise.
