I support the idea and work of the rivers trust. Unfortunately they seek support for their work with false information. I have emailed them in the past to rectify the oversite but nothing has been altered. The old Victorian sewer at the bottom of Victoria Road, Clacton on Sea was removed over ten years ago but is still shown on their current map as discharging sewage onto the beach. This is a lie and discredits their cause.
Some people seem to have rather high expectations of CRT.....

What like expecting them to maintain the waterways network to a safe navigable standard?

I support the idea and work of the rivers trust. Maybe they meant the Rivers Trust.

Perfect example of why these sort of review site entries should be taken with a pinch of salt!

Just makes me laugh when people go to the effort of posting an online review, but don' even bother to check who they are reviewing. IDIOTTS!

This one is quite funny :
Canal and River Terror An organisation where they don’t hold any sightings data from your boat doesn’t matter, they’ll just suppose you haven’t cruise enough and restrict your licence. When you point this out doesn’t matter, they demand from you to provide evidence. When you do, that doesn’t matter either, they’ll keep their decision.
Dire, vile, evil organisation it’s not FOR boaters but AGAINST them

I think they would find that if you asked all Boat owners the majority would not have a problem..
I don't know if anyone reads any of it but the way that is written it is of benefit to the CRT if it makes people think they actually enforce things.

I'd agree that CRT is far from perfect but basically the whole idea of a canal network is completely FUBAR from a business perspective. It's a bit like operating a bus which costs £1,000 a week to run and takes £130 a week in fares. It's only ever going to work with subsidy, regardless of how wisely the revenue is used. In fairness, CRT have tried persuading the Government to continue with funding at the current rate but if the Government say "fuck off" then what can they do?

Its ironic that the freeloading tossers who pay the least moan the loudest about CRT and their lack of service provision!🤷🏽♂️

Who are these freeloaders that you are talking about?
