Where the Beatles ever actually revolutionaries ? I suppose they must have been at some stage when they started out. But as soon as they started becoming popular then they where co-opted by the industry and just became part of the machine.

yes I can quite see they became cultural icons, but revolutioneries ? Anyway I didn’t live through it, I only know about it second hand.
