We should have gone to the boat today, but about 1pm yesterday I was smitten by a sickness bug ... throwing up all afternoon and evening.
I'd not eaten so I assume it was some sort of stomach bug.
Feel OK today although obviously not eating normally yet ... probably off to the boat tomorrow.
Anybody else had the bug ?
Quite odd because I didn't feel ill, just throwing up.

Rog Probably caused by excessive reading back through too much of the nauseating crap you post on all the boating related forums you participate in, . . Alice, . . the Chloroforum, CWDF and Thunderboat. Try cutting back drastically on the posting, . . particularly on Thunderboat !

Only ate toast yesterday but no more sickness.
Off to the boat today.
Getting colder at the weekend, but although down to zero overnight, it's forecast to be 9 degrees in the day.
Shouldn't be too bad.
Hope everyone stays clear of the bug.

She and other family suffered it about two weeks previously. Serves me right for boasting that I have bomb-proof guts and never have upset stomachs π€£ How's life in Germany Telemachus ... you obviously arrived safely ππ» Rog

The last time I had a noro was about 10 yars ago when I did my ICC and Cevni. I turned up and was feeling rotten. I think the bloke thought it was nerves.
I got back to my car and started driving but only lasted a few minutes before I had to stop and do a bit of vomiting. Got back to parking near the Boat and vomiting twice on the hedge in a 5 minute walk.
Came back another day and did the tests no worries I think he wondered if I had already driven a Boat around a little bit.

Jane may suggest more porcine π
I just haven't suffered stomach upsets ... being from a large family I've always thought it may be that having eaten we refuse to give it up.
We all have strong stomachs.

The ferry was quite good in many respects, the buffet dinner and breakfast both surprisingly good. Unfortunately I was too fat alreadyβ¦ But the sleep wasnβt good, quite noisy and rumbley in the cabin and it was too hot. Got on and off the boat with the 10.5 metre trailer ok but as you exit you have to chat to customs who are standing around at the gate (and there was some interest in what the trailer was for) and then exit via the gate and turn sharp left to go en route. I was so pleased with myself for evading customs attention on the β¬10,000 in cash I was illegally bringing in, and even remembering to drive on the right, that I forgot about the trailer swing and it clonked the nice customs ladyβs steel gate and jammed. Oops! Fortunately we werenβt arrested, just disconnected the trailer and manhandled it around the junction whilst they looked on in amusement.
