Yes let's have more posts about the original topic. It's an interesting one. Posts about Tony can be found all over this forum and are so numerous that they are rarely original, and therefore, (not) interesting.

How is the surname pronounced?
I'm going for KA JIN SKI.
Not looked it up. It may be more complex.

Committed suicide last year apparently. Ka-Jin-ski would be my guess as well.

Another one.
My mother used to go on about Robin Williams as well. Curiously she died in exactly the same way one yar to the day after he did but he was proper fucked with lewy body dementia.
I suppose some lost people latch on to others.

I’m not sure if Ted was lost. Whilst not a rational reaction to what happened to him, it was a reaction that meant he felt like he had some control. He will be remembered. His actions have to be taken in context of americas long history of serial killers and mass killings. I’ve never been, but it must be something to do with their society that creates these characters.

Robin Williams was another one. My dear mother died exactly one yar after he did and in the same way. To be fair I don't know if he failed to cut his wrists with broken glass before then hanging himself so it could have been a slightly different technique. He may have been more competent in this regard.

I feel it’s sad that people feel suicide is their only option sometimes .

Easy access to weapons and precedents has a lot to answer for.

Easy access to weapons and precedents has a lot to answer for. It must be something else as well. There are other countries with easy access to weapons that don’t have similar problems.

If you asked me, it is just as much about pressure to 'conform with society' rather than being able to say how you see the world. A complex subject but mainly a western one. In my opinion of course.

"Ted transferred to Evergreen Park Central Junior High School. After testing scored his IQ at 167,[10] he skipped the sixth grade. Kaczynski later described this as a pivotal event: previously he had socialized with his peers and was even a leader, but after skipping ahead of them he felt he did not fit in with the older children, who bullied him"
Sadly I know how badly it can go wrong when one is massively more intelligent than school peers. It is not something one chooses and I was incredibly fortunate to be able to walk out of school aged 18 (I was one yar older than the other boys) half way through A levels knowing I had an allowance (£400 a month).
Its shit being too clever. I am managing it with my own children by generally encouraging them to have a Good Time rather than engaging with the fact they are the smartest person in the room at any given moment.
It is not easy having this sort of situation as one must not only protect the obvious but also the others. A lot of responsibility here going forwards.
Its no joke.

When I was in the secondary school (Halliford) the head master had several of us boys in a special group called 'The Intelligentsia'. We had special attention and did things like math gcse a yar earlier than everyone else. Something going on there and there were kids obviously much younger who used to race through and disappear. Presumably these were the ones who did university degrees when they were 14.
I often think being clever is good but it is a mistake to let other people hijack it for their own ends.
