I didn’t think George Galloway was a Tory party member? He stood as an MP, people voted for him. That’s democracy. Democracy doesn’t involve only being allowed to vote for people you approve of. Unless you are Putin. If you don’t like democracy then go and live somewhere where there isn’t democracy. ah, another topic avoider. I'm questioning whether any political party should take or keep funds and contributions from those deemed beyond the pale, the subject of the thread. We're talking principles, apparently lacking in the Tory Party. A basic google search will reveal that any principles regarding donations to any political party, many of which, for some convoluted thinking by the recipients, don't even get declared until some investigative journalist spills the beans. As an aside to this one, our unbiased broadcasting corporation has been gleefully reporting the 'facts' but with a closing statement that as they have heard no recordings, they cannot verify the veracity of the allegations. Still, it saves them having to continue reporting about Angela Rayner's tax avoidance. As I have not seen all the documents I cannot verify the veracity of this act. It does however beg the question with Ms Abbot, is she able to work out the levels of donations on her own?

Your question isn't relevant. The point is, I believe that people from different parts of the world, whose histories and environments have resulted in them behaving in certain ways should be free to continue to do so, without judgment from another set of people, whose history and environment is different. You however, pretend, on one hand, to celebrate these differences. It's a great pretence but you limit it 'safe' areas such as song, dance, architecture and food. On the other hand you stand in constant judgment of the behaviours of those whose histories and environments lead them to behave in ways which differ from yours. Any behaviours which don't meet your exacting standards, you condemn. You look at everything through the narrow prism of modern developed western democracies, as if nothing else exists. And if it does, it's inherently inferior. Anti-racist? my fuckin arse. Stick to policing language. That's nice and simple. Just your level. of course my question is relevant, the practise I described was a part of the culture, should it carry on or not? All the rest of your febrile construction is piss and wind to avoid the issue. I'm sure that Pacific islanders would have a view on rich westerners abandoning their parents to the state to live a lonely end of life in some decrepid care home, rather than being in their rightful place, with their families. It wouldn't be their business though, would it.

A criminal act.

I wonder where you draw the line, what cultural practice or behaviour is unacceptable to you, Could you give us an example?

Some delayed responses by the PM yesterday, who, despite being well qualified to understand racism, took 12 hours to accept that the party donor was racist. Ministers had already been trundled out with a thorough script denying any such thing. Though I've heard leading tories say the 10m should be repaid too

If you believe that cultural difference is a good thing, something to be celebrated, you should accept that you have zero input on the practices of other cultures. It's their business, not yours. In the 1940's we had attempts to establish on earth an all powerful 'master race'. Now, in the following century, we have widespread attempts to establish a 'master culture'.

You make a whole load of noise when you see a word on the list that's deemed to be racist. The irony is that you yourself are a cultural racist, who considers the ways of modern rich western democracies to be superior to the ways of all others.

So it's just tough shit for church going donkeys in Spain, women in Afghanistan, homosexuals in parts of Africa, Navalny's supporters in the Russian kleptocracy etc etc, you would just leave them to suffer? I see a Navalny supporter living in Lithuania has been beaten up and hospitalised, that's ok too?

You wouldn't like it if Pacific islanders tried to stop rich westerners from abandoning their elderly parents to the state. You'd likely tell them to mind their own business, sort out their own problems first. And rightly so.

It is only when racism (bred into us by millennia of natural selection) spills over into discriminatory action, that there is a problem.

Yet you yourself have taken exception to homophobic posts, even though they are only words. Wasn't it something to do with gassing homos?
