I wonder if anyone knows and can help as I'm struggling to find the information .
The depot was served by, and connected to the Grand Union (formerly Grand Junction) canal .
Was the connection at the current site of the Weedon hire boat yard ?
Seems to make sense, and there's no other obvious connection site.

Yes.
Did you go into the museum part? Some very interesting old photos and extremely knowledgeable volunteers in there.

Sadly it wasn't open yesterday or today. It seems the obvious location for the connection ... thank you. Also had a look in the West Street kiosk book swap metanoia , and had coffee and cake in Grannies 😊 Rog

They used to have a brilliant sign outside the yard there when the development opposite was being built.
Big writing.
