So far the Cons are being beaten into 3rd place (in both the number of councils they control and the number of councillors). Looks like Rishi's days are numbered.

The Tory vote is being split by Tories in Reform guise in many places. Blackpool for instance. Carry on, good work there.

The Tory vote is being split by Tories in Reform guise in many places. Blackpool for instance. Carry on, good work there. Spot on. This is the result of the Tories pretending to be something they aren't. No Tory government would ramp up taxes so that they could ramp up benefits. It will be Labour's turn next, to govern on the promise of being something they aren't.

Independants are catching up, could the Cons be relegated to 4th place?

Yo-yo politics ... not really about policy more about ennui ... for most I suspect it's simply 'let's give the others a go, can't be any worse'.
We go round and round and round π

They βmightβ even wealth out a little between top and bottom. They βmightβ stop the big corporations screwing people over. They βmightβ put management into the NHS, trains and CRT that can run with efficiency. They probably wonβt though. Have you decided if you're going to give them your vote yet? I will probably abstain. I hate what the Tories have done to the country. Then I look at the Labour policies that will affect me and I canβt see me voting for them. No one else worth voting for so there we are.

I feel I've seen this 'brave new world' so very many times in these circumstances and it amounts to nothing. Rah rah independents. I'll settle for an end to the present shower ππ» Rog

There's so little between Labour and the Tories, its barely discernable. Any party suggesting real change has no chance of having a meaningful voice. I'd abstain myself, were it not fairly close between Labour and Plaid, where I live.

Andy Street has, in effect, dumped the Tories, no blue or mention of Tories in his publicity. Will they have the gall to claim it as a Tory win if he does remain mayor? They are desperate enough.
Meanwhile the groupthink message is- all fine here Rishi is still pm, move along, nothing to see, we are all happy as any pig in deep shit!

It's not so much that many if any of us are Tories Jim, just bright enough to see that Labour are no better. The same pigs with their snouts in the same trough, just with different coloured rosettes.
