Hey folks, although they dont give much of a spec i think these usually are 12 volt and come with a transformer. do you reckon they would be suitable to use if i cut off the tranaformer and just replaced my old ones which are very tired. i have done this with led strips in the camper van with no problems. Or am i risking burning the place down. I can't see why not If the bulbs don't last long you still have the fittings (assuming the bulbs are replaceable).

My only comment would be that some cheap 12v led bulbs are not happy with the 20+% overvoltage that occurs when battery charging is in progress. but as Tony says .... at least you would still have the fittings

Mine are from london LED designed for use with a transformer the voltage on them is from 10 - 30 volts 5 years on working great no transformer
