You might make that judgment. 10 years from now you might judge someone who talks of of blackmail or of blacklists as being racist, but you probably wouldn't today. If someone uses a word with the intention of undermining someone of a different race, they are being racist. It doesn't matter what the words are. A register of racist words won't work because the racist will continue to be a racist, using different words. And then, someone who isn't a racist might be incorrectly identified as one, for the crime of failing to keep up with the latest trends in language. “paki,” being a racist term isn’t the latest trend. In fact I’d say it’s quite an old term of abuse. How about 'coloured', referring to women as 'ladies'. Are these things OK these days? Is it clear that someone who refers to a Chinese person as a Chinkie is racist but someone who refers to an Australian as an Aussie isn't? How about calling Scottish people Jocks and Welsh people Taffs, is that racist, or not? Is it not the intention that matters, rather than the choice of language?

I don't use the term myself but 'Paki' can refer to those of South Asian heritage, not just those from Pakistan. If your a racist it can. Sunak is from Indian heritage. I don't use the term myself but 'Paki' can refer to those of South Asian heritage, not just those from Pakistan.

As for Labour:
Years moaning about 'austerity', but no plans to end it.
Change is stability, apparently.
They will 'turbo charge' the economy. The only detail provided is to outlaw zero hours contracts. It will come as a surprise to many that you 'turbo charge' something, by placing additional restrictions upon it.
They will 'smash the criminal gangs' involved in illegal channel crossings. By ending the potential deterrent factor of the Rwanda plan. Nothing else.
They will provide lots of new teachers, paid for by adding VAT to private school fees. This 'fully costed' plan assumes no parents facing a 20% hike in fees will withdraw their kids, forcing the cost of their education onto the state.
Most of all though: The Labour Party. Socialists. The party of working people and unions who tolerate capitalism as a means to an end but despise the unequal outcomes it generates. Now: The Labour Party, fully embracing capitalism. Rolling back previous worker protections it had promised. Rolling back on removing the 2 child cap on benefits and free tuition fees. That's just for example. We could fill an entire page with Labour changes during the current leadership.
Has there ever been a political party in Britain which has campaigned with a promise list so far away from what are the core values of the party in question?
In other words, has there ever been a political party in Britain, so desperate for power?

As I suggested from the start, this should have been a matter for HMRC, not the police.

Oh it’s raining. Sat pondering what to do with the cabin ceiling. Had a mushroom leak over winter that has turned a patch of the wood blackish. It’s replace or paint. Ali is quite keen to paint it white, she has noticed a trend towards this is recent years on new boats. Would be easier than replacement I suppose. Think it’ll be painted and then we can replace if that doesn’t suit. Anyone care to suggest what type of paint? White but not glossy I think. If it's black or even blackish your biggest problem will likely be to stop the black bleeding through the new paint. You can buy 'stain blockers' but many of the modern versions are water based and a complete waste of time. Personally I'd get hold of some white solvent based primer/ undercoat and use as many coats as necessary, until you're sure the black colour isn't bleeding through, before applying your topcoat of choice.

Go for it. Don't forget to complete the message though. 'Get less for more' or 'for change's sake'. You choose. I prefer the rare first edition thanks. That's from your heart obvs, before your brain intervened. Not better then, or worse, just changed. Go for it.

Vote for LABOUR, vote for change. Thanks for the quote. It roundly encapsulates the zeitgeist. Might just use that on my signature, I'd credit you of course, it would be rude not to. Go for it. Don't forget to complete the message though. 'Get less for more' or 'for change's sake'. You choose.

You get off on getting outdated stuff to run on more modern stuff. Good for you. Vote LABOUR. Vote for change. Get less, for more. What a lovely extended metaphor. I bet that had the grey matter popping when you thought of that one. I always thought computer games became too complicated after the original Quake. I'm quite tempted by VR but I suspect the hype will exceed the experience. I'm pleased that I'm not tempted by VR. Maybe one day, when I'm cooped up in a nursing home, stinking of piss, unable to do anything else.

Yeah fuck off, go play with your boring computer games. You can also look to Wales, LABOUR in charge, for the worst educational attainment in the U.K. Despite additional bankrolling from central government, compared to England. Vote for LABOUR, vote for change. I don't actually play them much, the real game is getting old stuff to run on incompatible systems. Although there is a ww2 sim in which you play as the Germans with the object of conquering the world. You would love it. You get off on getting outdated stuff to run on more modern stuff. Good for you. Vote LABOUR. Vote for change. Get less, for more.

It's quite reasonable at the run up to the general election, to point out relevant facts. Some people might listen to Labour and think they'll improve the NHS. It's easy to say 'we wil improve this' and 'we will improve that'. It's easy to say 'we will change everything and it will all be so much better'. Rather than just swallowing this guff folk should be asking themselves: 'If Labour produce a worse performance in Wales than the Tories in England, despite Labour having more money available to them, how might Labour perform better than the Tories in England in the future, if the money available to them is less than it is in Wales?' Where someone lives makes no difference to common logic. We're all British, we're all entitled to vote, it's the same election. or they may just think, thank fuck we are getting rid of this venal shapeshifting "leader" swapping bunch of shysters, and be very happy. Having seen the Drownt Rat images outside number 10 I see the almighty agrees too. They might think that but then, they would have ignored the logic. They shouldn't feign surprise when Labour go on to make even more of a mess of the NHS than the Tories have. There's form for it, in Wales. 'Change for change's sake' seems to be Labour's key message.

The NHS waiting list is far worse in Wales. This, despite the LABOUR Welsh government being in receipt of far more money per head of population than is the case in England. stay on topic, we live in Englandland. You chose to migrate.
